Episode 92
Friday, 16 October, 2026

Freddy’s back, the fourth wall is broken, and Wes Craven has officially made Hollywood part of the nightmare. This week on 90mins On Film, we’re diving into Wes Craven's New Nightmare, the 1994 meta-horror experiment that asks the question: what happens when Freddy Krueger decides to terrorize the people who made him famous? And joining us is Fidel Medina (from the Betamax Podcast) to help us ask the question: is this a clever reinvention of the franchise, Craven's trial run for "Scream," or just Freddy outgrowing the franchise that made him an icon?Make a film recommendation for an upcoming episode!Thank you for listening!
