24. Rewriting the "Eat Less, Do More" Story with Caitlin Santomauro
Episode 43
Sunday, 8 March, 2026
In this episode, I’m joined by Caitlin Santomauro - health educator, yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, CrossFit coach, and author of The Language of Self-Affirmation. Caitlin shares her personal health journey after being told she was likely entering pre-menopause due to extremely low AMH levels. For many women, news like this can feel devastating and confusing. Caitlin opens up about the years leading up to that diagnosis - a lifestyle shaped by chronic under-fueling, intense training, and the cultural belief that doing more and eating less is always better for our bodies. Together we unpack how that mindset became normalized for an entire generation of women, and how it can quietly undermine hormonal health. We also discuss the shifts Caitlin made to support her body differently... increasing carbohydrate intake, reducing high-intensity training, prioritizing recovery, and reconnecting with the deeper signals of her body. Through these changes, Caitlin began to see meaningful improvements in her hormones, energy, and overall well-being. This conversation explores the deeper work of deconstructing the “eat less, do more” narrative that so many women have internalized, and replacing it with a more sustainable approach to health rooted in nourishment, balance, and self-trust. Caitlin also shares her perspective on self-compassion, egg freezing, and how rewriting our internal dialogue can be just as important as changing our habits. If you’ve ever felt caught in the cycle of restriction, overtraining, and striving for perfection with your health, this episode offers a refreshing reminder that sometimes the most powerful transformation begins with doing less, nourishing more, and listening to the body instead of overriding it. ⸻ Connect with Caitlin Follow Caitlin on Instagram: @manifestingcaitlin You can buy Caitlin's book: The Language of Self-Affirmation by clicking this link
