Burnt Offerings (1976) - Better Than Amityville?
Thursday, 22 October, 2026

Join your horror hosts Kimmi & Jon for a hilarious discussion about a lesser-known 70s Horror that (at least in Jon's opinion) makes The Amityville Horror look like Little House on The Prairie. On this week's episode of Nightmare on Film Street, we're spending a deadly lovely summer in the countryside with Burnt Offerings (1976) - a hidden horror gem that stars Oliver Reed, Karen Black, Bette Davis, and a terrifying hearse drive with the scariest smile of the decade! There are a lot of Big Old Spooky Houses in the pantheon of horror, but if you're looking for something a little off the beaten path to watch for Day 28 of the #31DayHorrorChallenge, Burnt Offerings is the exact level of eerie, inescapable horror with a star studded cast and some truly unforgettable moments of pure terror.
